Our bobcat hunting relies on good snow conditions.  New snow is nice for finding fresh tracks.  A lot of our hunters are called to come hunt the next day.

We recommend shotguns with #4 buckshot.  It's not very often these animals tree and most of your shots will be when they are on the ground.  You will need to be alert and watchful - if you hear barking dogs coming your way, get ready - there is a cat in front of them.

Though it is winter, and your first inclination is to dress heavy, be warned that you will be on foot allot, following the dogs.  We find that wool works the best for warmth, dryness and weight.
